Rendered Image

Gorillas are the largest of all primates and can

weigh up to 600 kilos. They are considered to be endangered.

Habitat

Mountain gorillas live in Congo in Rwanda. Gorillas build their own nest to sleep at night, but they never use the same nest more than once

Appearance
Adult male’s are know as ‘ silverbacks’ while the Eastern Mountain gorillas tend to be blackish coat. The Western subspecies tend to be brownish gray in colour.

Behaviour
Gorillas live in groups called troops and there is 1 or 2 Silverbacks (males) and up to 10 females and young. When silverbacks see young gorillas that are not there’s they sometimes kill those little gorillas, even in his own family. In general gorilla families are
peaceful though.

In general gorillas are peaceful animals that live in families. The adult males are very protective of their families and can sometimes get very aggressive when they are protecting them.
